The Sixth Region Diaspora Caucus-Washington (SRDC-WA) is a part of SRDC-USA. Our Vision is to be viewed as a primary clearinghouse for Pan-African engagement regarding economic development/trade activities, education and cultural connections.

What are the Goals of SRDC-Washington?

To achieve our vision, we seek to accomplish the following goals:

— Community Outreach – Introduce SRDC to the next generation of Pan-African leadership

— Establish quarterly Community Forums on topics related to Pan-Africanism

— Organize annual Economic Roundtables (Feb/March)

— Celebrate annual Africa Day – Formerly African Liberation Day  (May)

— Promote Pan-African Business & Trade (October)

— Promote learning an African language (Kiswahili)

— Establish collaborative relationships with local African organizations

— Host annual Summer Youth Education Program (SYEP)
